![]() If you read my reply above you will see that I have tried the kind solutions already offered, but my computer is reporting that the app no longer exists on my system - in spite of a notification popping up (again, and again and even again two minutes ago), bottom from the app that I need to upgrade it now. In any case, all I want help with is to remove/delete the * thing. I have just now repeated that search and in seconds it found it, (4th item down from the top), at PDF Suite, convert, edit & secure any PDF file ![]() by asking Google for "free pdf reader for Windows 10". Yes I know it says pdf-suite pro, but I found the free version originally. Look at PDF Suite | Read, Create, Edit, Convert and Secure any PDF file! (which took me 30 seconds to find via Google just now). My original post could not have been created if the app did not exist. ![]() I have experienced the problem that I described in my original post after downloading it. I am not sure why you went searching for PDF Suite 20 (and then stated that, Quote "I also want to stress there is no PDF Suite 20" Unquote when you failed to find it. Can I assume it is still safe to proceed? Having downloaded it I'm now looking at a message saying "The app you're trying to install isn't a Microsoft=verified app.", with the option to Install anyway. So the only thing left is to try Revo Uninstaller Pro. but that is contradicted by the presence of the PDF Suite 20 folder in Program Files, including its content of a variety of files, together with the fact that a Notification message from the app popped up on the task bar 20 minutes ago, (can't remember now exactly what it said, but it was a general info message of some sort). After pasting the string and clicking OK, Windows Installer came back and reported "This action is only valid for products that are currently installed." Well that seems to suggest that somehow or other I HAVE managed to get rid of it. Next I tried the Uninstall with RUN method. Also in there installer-cache, together with three. json file (never heard of that file-type, but then I'm not a programmer), called app-config.json. It contains one folder called logs, (with two. One is called Packages, (which is empty), but the other, called Installation gave me hope. There is indeed a folder labelled PDF Suite 20, and inside that are just two sub-folders. Previous experience has taught me to also check in the ProgramData folder, so I did that a minute ago. I have not tried clicking on that, but I very much doubt that a. The nearest looking possibly useful one is ui-remover.dll. exe files - suite.exe suite-launcher.exe tray-app.exe and update-service.exe, but not the one I need. However there is no uninstaller.exe file in there. First, the app is not listed in Program Files(圆8) as the webpage states, but it is present in the Program Files folder. I have also now tried the uninstaller.exe idea. I have now tried uninstalling it via the Apps and Features route, but the app is not present in the list. A careful visual check failed to find it. I used the taskbar search function to find 20, then right-clicked it to get the menu, and clicked uninstall. Reader is so far working properly for me. I don't get on with it, and today have successfully downloaded and installed Adobe Reader onto my Windows10 64bit computer.
